A delegation of our Chamber had a meeting with the new Indian ambassador in Athens on Tuesday, September 1 at 15:00 noon.
The representatives of the Chamber wished good luck in the work of the ambassador and assured him that they will be by his side for whatever the Indian Embassy needs.
Afterwards, important issues related to the bilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed, in particular issues such as:
Collaboration with Indian diagnostic center for Clinical tests for Covid 19 with Greek Scientists and the pharmaceutical company Regulon.
The project of the scientific committee of our chamber for an interest from an investor from India for the construction of an oncology hospital, as well as medical tourism in Crete, due to the construction of the airport in Kastelli by Gmr.
The memorandum discussed in 2018 by the President of the Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos with Ram Nath Covid, President of India, which concerns 1 billion trade transactions.
The possibility of selling Greek products in the Indian market was also analyzed, as well as the interest of Greek importers for products from India.
Finally, the conversation with Mr. Amrit Lugun extended to the development of cultural relations and in particular to the prospect of cooperation with the Indian company Bollywood - Hollywood.
Warmly hospitable, the new Indian Ambassador showed keen interest in all issues and pledged that communication will be more frequent in the future between the two sides in order to achieve the best possible results and to further develop Greek-Indian relations and collaborations.
