Supporting Documents for Employee Transfer for Dependent Work
1. From the Employer

Electronic application (via portal.immigration.gov.gr)

Copy of the employment contract signed by the employer

Must include: duration of the contract, position, salary, working hours, obligations

Proof of payment of the fee (e-paravolo, €200 per employee)

Solemn declaration of the employer (with certified signature), stating that:

They will cover the employee’s return expenses if necessary

They will register the employee with EFKA (social security)

They will comply with the employment contract

Social security clearance certificate (EFKA) of the employer
-
Tax clearance certificate (AADE)
-
Copy of company tax ID details (AFM – printout from TAXISnet)

Copy of the employer’s or legal representative’s ID card or passport
-
Proof of business activity (e.g., operating license, ENFIA/property tax or rental contract of business premises)

Updated staff list (ERGANI system)

Detailed report on the necessity of hiring (explaining why the foreign employee is needed)
2. From the Employee (in India, at the Greek Consulate)
Once the application is approved and forwarded to the Greek Embassy/Consulate:

Application for a national visa type D (visa D)

Signed employment contract
-
Valid passport
-
Criminal record certificate (with Apostille or consular legalization)

Medical certificate stating that the applicant does not suffer from contagious diseases
-
Diplomas / certificates of work experience (if required for the position)
3. After entering Greece
The employee must apply for a residence permit within 30 days.

Proof of registration with EFKA (social security)

Biometric data (photograph & fingerprints)
