Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce & Economy – Greece-India Cooperation Conference in Corfu
The Greece-India cooperation conference, organized by the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce & Economy, was successfully held on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, at 18:00, at the Cultural Center of the Parish of the Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral (Delvinioti 1) in Corfu.
The event aimed to strengthen the economic and business ties between the two countries, promote investments, and facilitate the recruitment of Indian workers, highlighting India’s growing role as a strategic partner for the Greek economy.
During the discussion, particular emphasis was placed on the tourism development of Corfu, exploring new forms of cooperation that can boost the local economy and attract visitors from India. Among the proposals presented, a standout was the organization of an international cricket tournament in Corfu—an extremely popular sport in India with historic roots on the island—which can serve as a strong bridge of culture and tourism.
At the same time, important initiatives that support Greece–India cooperation were presented:
The digital platform “EUTOPIA”, designed to ensure a transparent and efficient process for the recruitment of workers.
The quality criteria and procedures for integrating Indian workers into Greek businesses.
Initiatives aimed at social inclusion and cultural support for the workers.
Participants highlighted the promising prospects emerging in both business and tourism, with Corfu emerging as a developing point of connection between the two countries.
The conference marked another significant step in expanding bilateral relations, reaffirming the role of the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce & Economy as a bridge of cooperation and development.
